yeah they are pretty poor out here, though it wasn't mud huts like I was expecting. I didn't actually get to go inside one of the little houses this time. Dr Friend visits every couple weeks, but this week didn't work out. I'm hoping to go along next time again.
The kids, as far as I know, didn't have leprosy.
Pretty much everyone here has some belief in God - like one of standard getting-to-know-you questions is 'kwepi ubena kuya kukipwilo?' - where do you go to church? Faith in God is wide but not so deep. As well as ECZ, the catholic church and JW are fairly big in Zambia.
